Bhopal/IBNS: Madhya Pradesh Police has arrested two sisters from the Mhow cantonment area for their alleged links with  two Pakistani nationals suspected to be operatives of that country's spy agency, the Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI), said media reports.

The Indore police arrested the two sisters, 28 and 32, both school teachers, from Dr Ambedkar Nagar, better known as Mhow, near Indore city, said an NDTV report.

Police and Military Intelligence are investigating the matter and the credentials of the Pakistani contacts are being verified, sources close to the investigation, told NDTV.

They have been in touch with the Pakistani men for over a year through social media platforms through fake accounts, police said, the report added.

Their laptops and mobile phones have been seized for investigation, police stated.

"The two women were arrested from Gawli Palasia in Mhow. They are suspected of sending important information from Mhow to other countries,"  told NDTV.

The report said the women have been on police and the Military Intelligence's radar following specific inputs about their online activities involving the Pakistani nationals, according to sources.
