UP govt extends weekend curfew till May 10 morning

Lucknow/UNI: Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday extended Corona curfew till May 10 morning, to contain the virus which is wreaking havoc in the second wave.

According to officials here, at first, the weekend curfew was extended for two days from Tuesday morning to Thursday morning and now it has been extended for another four days till 0700 hours of Monday.

During this period, there will be complete closure, except shops of essential goods and essential services will continue to open at a fixed time.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been continuously expressing concern over the rise in Corona infection.

The current strain of Covid is constantly changing. It is 30 to 50 times more infectious than the first wave.
