Delhi polls: AAP cancels candidate's ticket

New Delhi, Jan 3 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday said it has cancelled one of its candidates who was standing from the Wazipur assembly seat.

The party said it has dropped  Suresh Bhardwaj from its list following 'negative report received against him from the area.'.

"Aam Aadmi Party has replaced its candidate from the Wazirpur assembly constituency of Delhi," the party said in a statement.

The AAP said: "The party has dropped Mr Suresh Bhardwaj from its list following some prima facie negative report received against him from the area."

The party has replaced him with Rajesh Gupta, who will be the AAP candidate from Wazirpur. 

The AAP on  Friday announced the names of eight more candidates for the coming Delhi assembly elections. With these eight names, the party has completed the process of naming its candidates for all 70 constituencies of the Delhi assembly.

Given below are the names of these eight candidates and their constituencies

Pankaj Pushkar              Timarpur

Haji Yunus                    Mustafabad

Ch. Goverdhan Singh    Mehrauli
