5.4 magnitude earthquake hits Sikkim, tremors felt in North Bengal, Assam
Gangtok/IBNS: An earthquake measuring 5.4 magnitudes on Richter Scale struck near Sikkim's capital Gangtok on Monday night.
The epicentre of the quake was 25 km east-southeast (ESE) of Gangtok in Sikkim, the National Center for Seismology informed.
The earthquake struck at 8:49 PM IST at a depth of 10 km from the surface.

Besides Sikkim, tremors were also felt in parts of Assam, North Bengal and Bihar, said reports.
Tremors were also felt in some parts of Nepal and Bhutan.
