New Delhi/UNI: President Ram Nath Kovind has congratulated US President-elect Joe Biden and his deputy Kamala Harris over their victory in the Presidential polls and said he was confident that Indo-US relations would get stronger in the coming years.

"My sincere felicitations to Joseph R Biden on his election as President of the United States of America and Kamala Harris, as Vice President. I wish @JoeBiden a successful tenure and look forward to working with him to further strengthen India-US relations," the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.

Biden has defeated outgoing President Donald Trump by winning over 270 electoral college votes.
