Jaipur/IBNS: Eleven members of a Hindu family who migrated from Pakistan were found dead at a farm in Jodhpur district on Sunday morning, said a media report.

However, one person of the family was found alive, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rahul Barhat said, adding that he claimed to have no idea about the incident which is believed to have happened last night, said an NDTV report.

The man was sitting outside the hut in Lodta village of Dechu area of the Jodhpur district, Barhat said, the report added.

Apparently, the family committed suicide by consuming some chemical, but the cause and means of death is yet to be ascertained, the police officer said.

The family might have consumed some poisonous chemical as a smell was lingering in the hut.

Police have roped in a dog squad and forensic experts to aid the investigation as prima facie there are no injury marks or signs of foul play, the report said.

The Pakistani Hindu migrant family belonged to the Bheel community and lived in the farm which they had hired for cultivation, the report informed.

Police said the family had a dispute over some issue but a conclusion could be reached after interrogating the survivor.
