Bengaluru/ UNI: Alarmed by the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the state government on Saturday decided to reduce the working days from six days to five days a week and clamp lockdown on every Sunday from next week.

According to official sources, the decision to reimpose additional restrictions has been taken in a bid to prevent the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has also decided re-introduce certain restrictions.

Among other things it was decided to impose night-curfew in the state from 2000 hrs to 0500 hrs in the state in all days, and a total lockdown on every Sunday from next week.

It may be recalled that the total number of COVID-19 cases in Karnataka have risen to over 11000 and death toll due to the pandemic also surged over 180 till Friday.
