Dubai/UNI: A 25-year-old Indian engineer allegedly fell to death from a residential building in Silicon Oasis here, Gulf News reported on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon.

According to Gulf News, the deceased was identified as Sabeel Rahman, resident of Kerala, who was living in Dubai since 2018.

He fell off the building near his work site, Gulf News quoted social worker Naseer Vatanappally as saying.

Vatanappally personally knows the family of the deceased and is assisting Rahman’s family for the repatriation of his body.

It is not clear why Rahman, an urban planning engineer with an electrical engineering company, went to the building close to his work site, said Vatanappally.

''He was the youngest of four siblings. His sisters and parents are in Kerala. His body will be repatriated to his native place, Thirur in Malappuram, after the legal procedures are over,'' the social worker added.

Rashidiya Police is investigating the case.
