Delhi Assembly polls: Arvind Kejriwal to file his nomination tomorrow

New Delhi/UNI: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will file his nomination papers from New Delhi Assembly constituency on Monday for the February 8 Delhi Assembly polls.  

'AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal will file his nomination, followed by a big roadshow, on 20th

January,' the party said in a tweet on Sunday.

'AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal will begin his road show after seeking the blessings of Bhagwan Valmiki at the historic Valmiki Mandir at 11:30 AM tomorrow,' an official from the party said.

'The roadshow will go to Connaught Place via Panchkuian Marg into the Inner Circle and then towards

the Outer Circle on to Baba Kharak Singh Marg. It will end near the Patel Chowk Metro station,' the official added.

Both the Congress and BJP have not announced the name of the candidates for the New Delhi seat from where Mr Kejriwal was contesting the poll.

The process of nomination for the candidates which started after issuance of notification on January 14 will close on January 21.

The scrutiny will be held on January 22 while withdrawals of candidature will be allowed till January 24.

On January 14, the AAP declared its candidates from all 70 assembly seats.

The results of the Delhi Assembly polls will be declared on February 11.
