Chennai/UNI: Opposition DMK President M K Stalin on Sunday said coordination among secular parties was essential to oppose Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR).

In a tweet after participating in the swearing-in ceremony of JMM leader and Jharkand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, he said coordination among secular parties was the key to fight back communal forces and project social justice.

He said ''Unity and coordination among secular parties essential to oppose #CAA & #NRC & #NPR fight back communal forces and protect social justice.''

''Honoured to be present at the swearing-in ceremony of @HemantSorenJMM. Wish the new government in Jharkhand a successful tenure'', Mr Stalin said.

Senior DMK Leader and Lok Sabha MPs, T R Baalu and Ms Kanimozhi also participated in the swearing-in ceremony.
