Man hacks wife to death in Jharkhand's Gumla

Gumla/UNI: A man hacked his wife following a dispute in Hathlada village under Dumri Police Station area of Gumla district in Jharkhand.

The culprit was later nabbed by the police.

The deceased has been identified as Adinata Devi (45).

Police said that the husband and wife were both under the influence of alcohol during which a heated altercation broke out and the man attacked with the axe due to which she died on the spot.

Later the body was sent for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.

Accused Durga Prasad confessed that since his wife used to sell the food grains without informing him and consumed liquor therefore frequent quarrel use to take place between the couple.
