Indian Army organized ex-servicemen rally in Assam's Jagiroad

Guwahati, Oct 5 : A unit of the Indian Army organized an ex-servicemen rally as part of year of next of kin at Jagiroad in Assam’s Morigaon district on Saturday.

The rally was part of a regularly executed initiative to reach out to the veterans fraternity as well as Veer Naris and help amelioration of their problems.

The day-long rally provided a platform to the ex-servicemen to highlight their issues regarding documentation and pension disbursal and interact with district administration.

More than 150 ex servicemen and four Veen Naris participated in the rally from Morigaon, Nagaon, Hojai and its adjoining areas.

Stalls of Grievance Cell, ESM Data Updation Centre and Zila Sainik Board were set up to facilitate resolution of issues faced by the ESM.

Banks like ICICI and SBI were also present at th eevent for assistance to the Veterans and Veer Naris.

The unit also set up a medical Camp for the benefit of the various participants.  The Veer Naris and Physically Challenged Ex-Servicemen were felicitated by the Unit to convey the Indian Army's  gratitude and continued support to them.
