Two killed in road mishap in Assam’s Bilasipara
Guwahati, Aug 4 (IBNS): Two persons were killed in a road mishap following a head-on collision between a truck and a motorcycle at Bilasipara area in Assam’s Dhubri district on Saturday evening.
According to the reports, police chased a truck and opened fire targeting the truck in which the truck driver had lost his control over the vehicle and collided with another truck and a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
In the incident, one motorcycle rider fell into a roadside pond and another died on spot.
Later, local police and SDRF team recovered the body from the pond.
In protest against the incident, the local people have blockaded the National Highway 31.
