Another strike on Pakistan by Team India, result is same: Amit Shah posts interesting tweet after Virat Kohli's men register victory

New Delhi, June 17 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah posted an interesting post on his Twitter page as he praised India's victory in the World Cup match against Pakistan by calling it a 'strike' on the neighbouring nation.

"Another strike on Pakistan by #TeamIndia and the result is same. Congratulations to the entire team for this superb performance. Every Indian is feeling proud and celebrating this impressive win. #INDvPAK," Shah tweeted.

India defeated Pakistan by 89 runs, via DLS method, to extend their winning streak in the World Cup to 7-0.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, "Congratulations to Indian cricket team for winning the match against Pakistan in #CWC2019. The Indian team played an amazing game of cricket for this victory."

The match in Manchester was touched by high sentiment this time as relationship between India and Pakistan reached new low earlier this year following the Pulwama strike.

In Pulwama a terror attack on Feb 14 left 40 Indian paramilitary forces personnel killed.

Pakistan-based Jaish had claimed responsibility for it.

In retaliation, Indian Air Force planes entered Pakistan on February 26, the first time in nearly five decades, to bomb a Jaish facility.

Amid escalating tension between India and Pakistan, Abhinandan Varthaman was taken into custody earlier this year after his MiG-21 jet was downed during an engagement along the Line of Control (LoC).

Pakistan later released him.

Abhinandan advertisement slammed by netizens ahead of the India-Pakistan clash:

Indian social media users criticisied an advertisement aired by a Pakistani channel which has mimicked the video released on Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman by Pakistani military after he was captured a day after the Balakot airstrike earlier this year.

The ad was reportedly aired by Pakistan's Jazz TV.

In the advertisement, a model,  who is made to look like the IAF officer wearing a Blue Jersey, answering questions on the camera.

The man in the advertisement could be seen repeating Abhinandan’s viral statement “I’m sorry, I am not supposed to tell you this” several times.

He answers them the statement when a voice is asking him questions on Indian team's toss strategy and playing XI.

The man could also be seen sipping tea from cup.
