New Delhi, Jun 15 (UNI) Security has been beefed up following an intelligence report that Pakistan-based terrorists outfits are planning to conduct attack on Israeli targets in the national Capital and other parts of the country this month.

As per intelligence reports, IS-affiliated terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and another group by the name of Ul have been assigned to target the Israeli nationals and establishments in the country.

Inputs further indicated that possible target may include cultural center of Israel embassy, Synagogues, Jewish school and hotels frequently visited by Israel nationals in New Delhi, NCR and other cities.

It is pertinent to note here that the Israeli festival Shavuot is being celebrated across the globe in the month of June. The Jewish people frequently visit synagogues and Chabad House.

It is a Jewish holiday that occurs on the sixth day of the Hebrew month of Sivan, meaning it may fall May 15-June 14.

In 2012, a motorcyclist attached a sticky bomb to the car of the Israeli defence attache's wife while she was on her way to pick up her children from school.

In 2008 Mumbai terror attacks among 166 people, six Isareli nationals were killed. The attacks were carried out by 10 terrorists belonging to Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
