Odisha CM Naveen seeks monthly report from ministers on steps taken to fulfil poll promises

Bhubaneswar, Jun 4 (UNI): Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik today directed the members of his council of ministers to submit report every month about steps they have taken to implement the promises made in the party manifesto before the election.

The ministers were asked to submit their first report within July 7. Henceforth,the ministers will submit the report before the seventh of every month.

Soon after the new government assumed office on May 29, the council of ministers at its meeting had approved in principle the manifesto as priority of the government.

Addressing the council of ministers, the chief minister had said the government would present before the people the achievement vis-à-vis the promises 365 days from now on May 29, 2020.

The chief minister had asked the members of the council of ministers to successfully implement the promises.

On this occasion, the CM had added two more dimensions — transformation and time to the three Ts of governance — team work, transparency and technology and stressed on an administrative model that marches ahead keeping pace with time.

The chief minister had stressed on the formation of an empowered Odisha by poverty elimination, women development development of weaker section of people and in transforming the dreams of the youths.

He advised the ministers to initiate expeditious decision on the priority sector of their respective departments considering these things in mind.
