Thane, May 25 (UNI) A Maharashtra court has granted liberty to a 43-year old man who was convicted under the Arms Act of 1959 and also imposed Rs 10,000 fine on him, as the court deemed him as 'a law abiding person'.

In the judgement passed on May 22, First Class Judicial Magistrate P D Chavan stated,"If the accused is sentenced to imprisonment,it is going to affect his family. His family will suffer unnecessarily for their no fault."
