Kolkata, May 15 (IBNS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's north Kolkata rally has been cancelled over the alleged vandalisation of the stage.

Adityanath, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s star campaigner, was about to hold one of his three rallies at Phoolbagan, BT Road.

"Yogi Adityanath's BT Road rally has been cancelled because the stage was broken down and decorators were beaten up," the BJP said.

However, Adityanath's two other rallies in Habra and Behala will take place.

This is one of the latest instances where the BJP has accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of not allowing its leaders including party chief Amit Shah to hold rallies.

Adityanath will hold a press conference at the state headquarters at 3:30 pm.
