Maharashtra: Three of family killed in LPG cylinder blast

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 4 (UNI) Three members of a family, including two women, were killed when a cylinder burst in their home at Kurunda village of Marathwada region in the small hours of Saturday.

Reports reaching stated that the incident took place around 0230 hrs of Saturday when the family was asleep. Two women and a man were killed and the entire house caught fire after the blast.

The victims were identified as Sonaji Dalvi(55), his wife Surekha Dalvi (50) and daughter Pooja Dalvi (25) who was pursuing BHMS course in Pune. She had come to her native village for attending a relative's marriage, reports said.

The explosion so severe that the entire house was caught fire as it contained a lot of wood. The bodies were badly burnt.

After the incident, the villagers rushed to the spot, called the fire brigade and got the bodies removed, police said.

Reason of the blast was yet to ascertained by police, they said.

A case of sudden death has been registered in Kurunda police station and further investigation was on.
