Yadav family members vote in Saifai for Mulayam's historic win

Saifai, Apr 23 (UNI) The entire Yadav family voted at the model polling booth in a school under Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday, with a commitment for a historic win of Mulayam Singh Yadav, which could probably be his last elections.

Yadav, along with his wife Sadhna and younger daughter-in-law Aparna, reached Saifai from Lucknow by a private aircraft in afternoon, to cast their votes.
Prof Ram Gopal Yadav and his son Akshay Yadav, SP candidate from Ferozabad, was the first of the family to cast their votes, while other family members joined them later. Mr Mulayam's brother Abhay Singh Yadav also voted and announced that Netaji will win by a record margin.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, along with his wife Dimple, also exercised their democratic right, after touching feet of Mr Mulayam and his wife Sadhna. Akhilesh later left for Kannauj for campaigning, where his wife is the SP candidate.

Talking to mediapersons after casting his vote, Akhilesh claimed that the Opposition alliance of SP-BSP-RLD has swept the polls in the last two phases and in the third too, BJP was nowhere to be seen in the fight.

However, he raised question on the malpractices of BJP in nexus with the authorities, to misuse EVMs and through other ways, to influence the election and voters.

"In Rampur, more than 300 EVMs were not working, while in Badaun, a UP Minister was indulging in irregularities to support his daughter contesting as a BJP candidate," he alleged, saying that a delegation of SP has approached the EC over these issues in Lucknow.

Earlier, the former Chief Minister had tweeted on Tuesday, ''EVMs across India malfunctioning or voting for the BJP. DMs say poll officials untrained to operate EVMs. 350+ being replaced. This is criminal negligence for a polling exercise that costs 50,000 crs.Should we believe DMs @ECISVEEP, or is something far more sinister afoot?''

The SP president claimed that the country will get a new PM on May 23, when people will get rid of BJP, which had only ditched the people of the country through fake promises. However, he refused to commit on BSP chief Mayawati as the new PM, saying that a new Prime Minister can be from any place in the country.

Talking about Saifai, Akhilesh alleged that all the development works in Saifai has been stopped by BJP, as it is the native village of the Yadav family. He also claimed that Akshay would certainly win from Ferozabad seat, while Mulayam's win would be a historic one.

Mulayam is contesting from Mainpuri for the fifth time and he himself announced that this is his last election.
