Etawah, Apr 21 (UNI): Against the backdrop of allegations from the Bharatiya Janata Party that Bahujan Samaj Party has made an alliance with 'those who insulted Dr B R Ambedkar', Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said the alliance was not only coalition of parties but collaboration of hearts to defeat the 'communal' forces.

Speaking with UNI on Sunday Mr Yadav said: “Neta ji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) and Mayawati were at same platform and it was big sign of change as its an alliance of the common man. Poor, farmers, backwards, unprivileged were deprived of their rights and respect even after 72 years of Independence.”

Attacking the BJP, Mr Yadav said: “Situations were very adverse these days. There were conspiracies to weaken constitutional institutions and snatch the rights of people. Politics of BJP was based on lies and frauds. They were failed to deliver previous promises and now want to divert attention of public with more fake promises.”

About failures of BJP government, Mr Yadav said that BJP had promised to provide two crore jobs every year, increment in income of farmers and better prices for their crops in 2014 Lok Sabha elections but not a single promise was fulfilled in proper way. He alleged that BJP distributed gas cylinders to save their looses but poor families were unable to refill cylinders due to rising prices of LPG.

Mr Yadav said that Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi claim that about nine crore toilets were constructed under Swatchh Bharat scheme, but there was no water to use in those toilets.

He claimed that BJP will not get more that 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh.

About the Congress party, Mr Yadav said that Congress did not want to join the alliance. He said the Congress probably wanted to grow stronger in the state rather than defeat the BJP. He said SP, BSP and RLD have common goal to defeat BJP and their associates.

Speaking about his uncle and Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) founder Shivpal Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav said the alliance has only motive to defeat BJP and will not divert from the goal.

"We have showed our strength in previous by polls and they had lost their CM and deputy CM’s seats and in this elections also they will not score in double numbers," he said.

He said that some parliamentary seats have been stronghold of Samajwadi’s always and Amazgarh is one of them after Mainpuri, Etawah, Firozabad, Badaun.

"In previous Lok Sabha elections amid the strong Modi wave, Netaji had registered record victory from Azamgarh seat and in this elections BJP will fortify its deposit from this seat," he said.

Mr Yadav alleged that BJP was following divisive politics and want political favours from polarising the elections. The former chief minister claimed that public has understood real face of BJP and will vote them out in this elections.
