Bihar: Body of senior journalist's son found in pond

Biharsharif, Apr 14 (UNI): The body of a senior journalist's son was found in a pond near Hasanpur village in Harnaut police station area in Nalanda district on Sunday.

Police said that the body of 15-year old Chunnu Kumar, son of senior journalist Ashutosh Kumar Arya, was fished out of the pond after the local residents informed the cops.

Sources said that blood stains were found near both eyes of the deceased and it was suspected that criminals might have punctured his eyes after killing him.

Police said that the boy had not returned home since he left it this afternoon. The deceased's father is the chief of local bureau of a leading Hindi daily.

"Nalanda police superintendent Nilesh Kumar said that raids were being conducted to nab the accused. Further investigation is on," he added.
