Rampur, Apr 12 (UNI) Samajwadi Party candidate Mohammad Azam Khan who is pitted against BJP's Jaya Prada from Rampur Lok Sabha seat has again triggered a new controversy after he dared BJP not to make a fight between Ali (Muslim) and Bajrangbali (Hindu).

"UP CM say that people should vote for Banjrangbali and not Ali by I say that people should vote for Bajranj Ali ," he said in an election meeting here on Thursday evening.

He further said the leaders even divided Bajranjbali in caste some said he is Jat, some said he was Thakur or Dalit but now some people were trying to create difference between Bajranjbali and Ali ,which is unfortunate.

"Hence I have given a new name of Bajrang Ali who will fight to defeat all the evil forces," he added.

The statement of Azam Khan cones after Yogi Adityanath was served notice by the EC over his reported remark of Bajrang Ali and Ali in Meerut recently.
