Aurangabad: Shiv Sena snaps ties with Congress in ZP

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Mar 27 (UNI) The Shiv Sena has decided to severe ties with Congress party in Aurangabad Zilla Parishad, Shiv Sena MP Chandakant Khaire, who is contesting Lok Sabha from Aurangabad constituency said here on Wednesday.

The decision was taken in a joint coordination meeting held between two parties leaders which was held here.

At present, both saffron parties, Shiv sena and BJP forged an alliance for lok sabha election in the state.
After the alliance between Sena-BJP, BJP state vice president Dr Bhagwat Karad sought that until Sena was not snapping ties with Congress party in ZP, BJP party workers would not help Sena for campaigning in coming LS election.

During the ZP election, Shiv Sena made an alliance with Congress to keep away BJP from power.

BJP was the single largest party in ZP winning 23 seats followed by Sena 18, Congress 16, NCP 3, RPI 1 and MNS 1 in 62 members House.

After the Lok Sabha election new ZP president will be from BJP.
