PM Modi has assets of 1.26 crore

New Delhi, Oct 7 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s total assets are currently valued at Rs. 1.26 crore.

According to data published by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Tuesday, Union Finance Minister Ministe Arun Jaitley, who also handles the Defence Ministry, is the richest of all.

His assets are valued at 72.10 crore.

As per the “Assets and Liabilities of the Union Council of Ministers” data, which was released by Prime Minister and 44 members of the Council of Ministers, the Prime Minister owns movable assets worth Rs 26,12,288 and immovable assets worth Rs 1 crore.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who also features in the list, is richer than the Prime Minister.

He owns movable assets worth Rs 66,41,260 and immovable assets worth Rs 1,90,00,000.

The Home Minister has also declared the wealth owned by his wife, and it’s worth Rs 40,88,871.

Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj has declared her wealth worth Rs 2,98,48,485 in addition to an ancestral land in Palwal, Haryana.

Her husband Kaushal has movable assets worth Rs 8,88,91,635 and immovable worth Rs 3,18,90,050 (total wealth worth Rs 12,07,81,685).

On the other hand, Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu’s assets are the least-- which stands at 20.45 lakhs.

Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, daughter-in-law of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, has assets worth about Rs. 38 crores.

It has been learnt that 17 out of 22 Cabinet Ministers, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi are crorepatis.

The five Cabinet Ministers, who are not crorepatis, include Mr Naidu and Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
