RJD expels Annapurna Devi for 6 years

Ranchi Mar 25 (UNI) The RJD today expelled its state unit head Annapurna Devi for six years for anti party activities.

Apart from expelling her from the party the RJD has also appointed former MLA Goutam Sagar Rana as the new President of the Jharkhand unit of RJD.

Annapurna is currently in New Delhi where she would be taking the membership of the BJP.

Yesterday she along with other RJD leaders Janardhan Paswan and Manoj Bhuiyaan had met Chief Minister Raghubar Das and National General Secretary of the BJP and MP Bhupendra Yadav at the Chief Minister's residence here to discuss the finner details of her joining the party.

UNI had couple of days earlier itself had broken the news of Annapurna's plan of joining the BJP in which she would be also fielded as the candidate from Koderma Lok Sabha seat of the state.

State BJP president Laxman Giluwa who today also left for New Delhi also confirmed that she is going to join the BJP.
