#LokSabhaPoll: Tokheho Yepthomi, K.L. Chishi and Gaurav Gogoi file nominations in Nagaland and Assam

Guwahati, Mar 22 (IBNS): Tokheho Yepthomi from Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and K.L. Chishi from Indian National Congress filed nominations for the Lok Sabha election from 1-Nagaland parliamentary constituency on Friday at the Conference hall of the Office of the Commissioner, Nagaland.

The nomination papers and other documents of both the candidates and proposers were duly scrutinized and verified by Commissioner & Returning Officer, Nagaland, M.Patton and ADC (HQ) & ARO, Limanenla.

The Commissioner & RO also informed that the scrutiny of the nomination will be held on March 26 at 11.00 AM at the Conference Hall in the Office of the Commissioner, Nagaland.

On the other hand, Gaurav Gogoi, Congress MP and candidate from Kaliabor Lok Sabha constituency on Friday has filed nominations in Assam’s Nagaon district.

The Congress candidate from Kaliabor came to the District Commissioner office in Nagaon district with a procession and filed his nominations before the returning officer.

Four Assam Congress MLAs had accompanied him during the nomination filing process.

Earlier, Gaurav Gogoi visited historical Batadrava Than and offered his prayer and sought blessings from God.

The Lok Sabha polls for 14 seats in Assam will be held on April 11, 18 and 23 in first three phases and one seat in Nagaland will be held on April 11.
