Vote for Narendra Modi if you want to see your children become chowkidar: Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, Mar 20 (IBNS): Attacking the Prime Minister, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said people should vote for Narendra Modi if they want to see their children working as' chowkidar' (watchman).

In a Hindi tweet, Kejriwal said: "Modi ji wants the entire country to become chowkidar. In case you too want your children to become chowkidar then vote for Modi ji. But if you want to provide a good education for your children and want them to become doctors, engineers, lawyers, vote for honest and educated AAP candidates."

Kejriwal made the comment at a time when Narendra Modi launched the "Main Bhi Chowkidar  (I'm a watchman too)"campaign this week.

Apart from Modi, nearly all top BJP leaders added the prefix 'chowkidar' to their Twitter name following the launch of the campaign.

Since 2014, Modi has used the term "chowkidar" (watchman) to describe himself as a protector of national interest.

However, the Congress runs another campaign on the social media which is called  "Chowkidar chor hai (the watchman is a thief)" to target the PM.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi often attacks Modi by calling him  "Chowkidar chor hai" whenever he addressed rallies in recent times.
