Chennai: 1.25 kg gold seized at airport, woman passenger held
Chennai, Mar 16 (UNI) Customs officials on Saturday seized 1.25 kg gold worth Rs 40 lakh from a woman passenger, who arrived from Sharjah, at the Anna International airport here.
Airport sources said that the arrested passenger was identified as Jemima Banu (21) from Chennai.
A male passenger, who travelled with her, was missing and the customs authorities were on the look out for him.
