Pulwama terror attack : Traders' bandh hits life in Assam, protest in Golaghat

Guwahati, Feb 18 : The traders of Guwahati along with other parts of Assam are extending support to the nationwide strike called by the Confederation of All India Traders' (CAIT) to protest against the Pulwama terror attack.

Most of shops, business establishments remained shut in Guwahati and other parts of the state.

The traders pulled their shutters down to protest against the heinous terror attack, in which 40 brave CRPF jawans were martyred.

On the other hand, local people of Sarupathar area in Golaghat district had staged protest against the terror attack and burnt effigy of Pakistan terrorist Masood Azahar.

The people chanted slogans ‘Pakistan go back, Pakistan murdabad’, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

The people put the Pakistani flag on the road and driving on it.
