Lucknow, Feb 6 (IBNS): Describing West Bengal government as 'anarchist', Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who addressed a rally in Purulia town on Tuesday, said he will be beside the people of the state in ' overthrowing' the Mamata Banerjee-led government.

"I extend my heartiest thanks to the people of Bengal and I assure that I will always be with you all in your resolution to overthrow the anarchist government of chaos and hooliganism and to save the rich cultural heritage and belief of Bengal in democratic values," Yogi tweeted.

"Unprecedented public support in Purulia yesterday, has not only strengthened my belief in the democratic values of my nation, but has also given a boost to my determination to save constitutional institutions," he said.

Visiting Purulia by road, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while addressing a rally and said the TMC supremo was trying to protect a "corrupt officer” in the Saradha scam.

“The chief minister is trying to protect a corrupt officer in the case Sharada chit fund scam," Yogi said.

"Now, the Supreme Court has paved the way for proper investigation," he said addressing a rally in Purulia.

Referring to Mamata Banerjee's comment directed towards him where she said that the UP CM should 'manage his state first, Yogi said: " I want to tell her that UP is well managed.”

Mamata sat on a dharna till Tuesday against CBI's action against Kolkata Police chief Rajeev Kumar since Sunday. She withdrew the dharna in the evening.

SC order:

Meanwhile, the  Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar to appear before the CBI in the Sarada chit fund scam case.
