Lucknow, Dec 23 (IBNS): Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said only the BJP had the capability to build the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

“Let there be no doubt. Only we (BJP) can construct Ram Temple in Ayodhya,” he said at an event in the city.

In an apparent dig at the Congress and its president Rahul Gandhi, the CM said: “Those who flaunt ‘janeu’ (sacred thread), do it for votes. They dismissed the existence of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. They won't built the Ram temple in Ayodhya.”

“Pushpak Viman was no myth but reality. The sage Bhardwaj had written ‘Viman Shastra’ in which he provides the theory of Pushpak Vimaan,” he added.

The same day, NDA member Nitish Kumar of the JDU, said the Ram mandir was not on their agenda and they were focussing on the development of Bihar.

"We are committed to development in Bihar," Nitish said on Sunday. "We are of the opinion that the Ram mandir matter should be solved through a court decision."

The Bihar CM echoed the views of Chirag Paswan of the LJP, another NDA member, who Last week told NDTV that Ram temple was an agenda of the BJP and not the NDA.
