J&K: Omar meets Governor Vohra

Srinagar, Sept 25 (IBNS) Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah met state Governor NN Vohra here at the Raj Bhavan on Thursday.

In an hour long meeting, the Chief Minister briefed the Governor about the damage and destruction caused by the floods in the north Indian state and the ongoing status of the relief, rescue, repair and restoration operations.

They also discussed the medium and long term steps required to be taken for securing against such calamities in future, the spokesman said

Jammu and Kashmir was hit by a devastating flood which left several people dead.
