MEA names Vijay Kumar as next High Commissioner of India to Solomon Islands

New Delhi, Nov 30 (IBNS): Vijay Kumar has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to Solomon Islands, Indian government said on Friday.

 
Kumar is currently serving as the High Commissioner of India to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.

"Shri Vijai Kumar, presently High Commissioner of India to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, has been concurrently accredited as the next High Commissioner of India to Solomon Islands, with residence in Port Moresby," read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

"He is expected to take up the assignment shortly," read a statement issued by the MEA.
