Kerala nun rape case: Accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal gets bail
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 15 (IBNS): Arrested senior Catholic priest Franco Mulakkal, who has been accused of raping a nun, was granted a bail by the Kerala High Court on Monday.
The priest was arrested more than three weeks ago.
He had approached the high court after he was denied a bail by the lower court.
In her complaint in June, the nun had alleged she was raped in 2014 and was also sexually violated on multiple occasions.
The nun also said the church authorities did not act after repeated complaints against Mulakkal.
