Sushma Swaraj emplanes for South Africa to attend BRICS summit

New Delhi, Jun 2 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday emplaned for South Africa to attend the BRICS Summit 2019.

The BRICS summit is attended by heads of governments in Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The 10th BRICS Summit will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Swaraj will also attend the IBSA (India, Brazil and South Africa) Dialogue Forum, which is an international tripartite group aimed at strengthening cooperation among the three nations.

She will also commemorate "Making of Mahatma" in  Pietermaritzburg of South Africa.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted, "To attend BRICS and IBSA Ministerial Meetings and to commemorate Making of Mahatma at Pietermaritzburg! EAM @SushmaSwaraj emplanes for South Africa."
