Rahul Gandhi congratulates people over victory in Madhya Pradesh by-poll wins

Bhopal/New Delhi, Mar 1 (IBNS): Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Thursday congratulated party workers and voters after his party registered victory at the  Mungaoli and Kolaras Assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh.

The two seats were vacated by the death of its sitting legislators.

in Mungaoli, BJP's Bhai Sahab Deshraj Singh Yadav was defeated by Congress leader Brijendra Singh Yadav by  2,124 votes. 

Congress's Mahendra Singh Yadav beat  BJP's Devendra Kumar Jain by 8,083 votes in the other Madhya Pradesh seat of Kolaras.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted and congratulated people over the victory.

Madhya Pradesh is ruled by BJP-led government.

Gandhi said the defeats in the two seats hinted a change in the state's political scenario.
