Militants snatch service rifle of policeman in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 4 (IBNS) : Suspected militants Wednesday decamped with the service rifle of a policeman guarding a shrine in the old city of Srinagar.

According to reports, suspected militants entered into the premises of shrine Khanqah-e-Moula in Khanyar area of the Srinagar and snatched INSAS rifle from policemen.

Police officials confirmed the incident and said militants decamped with the rifle from on duty Policemen Sajjad Ahmad, 471 Indian Reserve Police (IRP).

Police have registered a case and started investigation.
