Gurgaon, June 20 (IBNS): An auto driver who raped a seven years old girl in the Dundahera village on Sunday was arrested by the Gurgaon police a day later, media reports.

The accused, Kamal, who stays in the same village, raped the minor on Sunday evening.

The police could manage to arrest him after launching a widespread manhunt.

According to police, Kamal lured the child with chocolates to know the timing when her parents leave home.

On Sunday too, the girl along with her younger brother were called upon by the accused with the offer of chocolates and eventually he committed the crime.

The complaint was lodged within one hour of the crime at Udyog Vihar police station. When police reached the spot, they saw the victim bleeding and immediately took her to the nearby hospital. The condition of the girl is stable now.

Police informed that they carried out a widespread hunt to search the man and literally went from door to door in a highly populated village. However, when they found the accused, he was acting like a psychological patient though a medical test will conducted to detect the truth.

Kamal was arrested according to the clues provided by the younger brother of the girl, who later identified the accused.
