Bus accident in Himachal Pradesh leaves nine dead, pilgrims were travelling to Jwalaji temple in Kangra district

Shimla, Jun 15 (IBNS): Nine people were killed and nearly 30 injured as a bus rolled down a deep gorge in Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, according to media reports.

The private bus, carrying pilgrims, was travelling from Punjab to Kangra's Jwalamukhi shrine, local reports said.

The accident occurred at a place called Dhaliyara in Kangra district.

According to local media, most of these pilgrims were from Amritsar and regularly visited the Jwalaji temple.

The local people and police shifted the injured to the hospital. Police is investigating into the cause of the accident.
