Lucknow, May 28 (IBNS): In a shocking comment, Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan advised women that they should stay home to avoid rape or molestation.

He urged women to avoid places where they can be targeted.

"Girls must not visit places where they can be targeted by shameless people," the Samajwadi Party leader was quoted as saying by the media.

The leader made the remark at a time when 14 men allegedly molested two women in the state and posted a video of the incident on the social media.

It is still not clear when the video was shot.

An accused has been arrested by the police.

He has been identified as Shahnawaz Qadri, reports said.

Police are searching for the other men involved in the incident.

Police are even attempting to find the two women.

“They might help us in correct identification of the accused,” said Rampur superintendent of police(SP), Nitin Tada, was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

An FIR has been registered into the case.

In the video, the two women are seen surrounded by two women and pushed and groped by the attackers.
