New Delhi, Apr 23 (IBNS): Voting has ended for three municipal bodies' election in national capital Delhi on Sunday.

35 percent people had exercised their franchise till 2 pm, reports said.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal earlier said that reports of alleged EVM malfunctioning were coming from across the city.

"Reports from all over Delhi of EVM malfunction, people wid voter slips not allowed to vote. What is SEC doing?," the CM tweeted.

A total of 270 municipal wards had gone to the polls.

The Delhi Police has reportedly deployed over 56,000 police personnel across the national capital to ensure a smooth election.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal were among the early voters.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has dominated the Municipal Corporation of Delhi for a decade.

The national capital recently saw fierce campaign by the Congress, BJP, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
