Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte tops 2017 TIME 100 reader survey
According to the TIME magazine, Duterte 'consistently' led the survey receiving 5 per cent of the total "yes" votes in the poll, which closed Sunday night.
According to media reports, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who topped the reader's survey in 2016, with 18 per cent votes, failed to impress.
Closely following Duterte in the TIME 100 poll were Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Pope Francis, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg — all of whom garnered 3 per cent of the total "yes" votes, TIME revealed.
The official TIME 100 list, which is selected by TIME's editors, will be announced on April 20.
