Narada sting issue: TMC holds second rally in two days time to counter opposition

Kolkata, Mar 31 (IBNS): In order to counter the opposition over Narada sting issue, Trinamool Congress leaders held the second rally in two days time protesting against the opposition's effort to mislead people against their party, according to media reports on Friday.

Women leaders of TMC did hit the streets on Thursday, on the same issue.

TMC District Committee called the protest rally over Narada issue on Friday, which started from Sealdah and ended at Dorina Crossing.

Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation and TMC MLA, Sovan Chatterjee attacked Bharatiya Janata Party for using Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as political vendetta.

"Neither the combined effort of CPI(M) and Congress could defeat us, nor BJP would be successful. We will continue the fight" Chatterjee said.

Chatterjee was one of those leaders of TMC, who were seen to accept money in Narada sting footage.

CPI(M) and Congress fought the assembly election in 2016 but received a crushing defeat against TMC.

Before TMC's double rallies, Left parties also organised a rally on Wednesday, demanding the arrests of all leaders of TMC who were seen accepting money in Narada sting footage.
