NGT orders old tankers be take off road starting Thursday
New Delhi, Mar 30 (IBNS): The National Green Tribunal, through an order on Thursday, has banned the use of old tankers, according to media reports.
The ban is to stop companies from plying trucks using old technologies, Bharat Stage I and II.
NGT has said that the trucks should be taken off the roads starting Thursday, media reports said.
In a near similar move, the Supreme Court on Wednesday had ordered a ban on the sale of vehicles using older technologies, starting April 1.
