West Bengal: Police seizes fake 2000 rupees notes from Malda again, 3 held

Kolkata/Malda, Mar 7 (IBNS): Based on credible source inputs, police on Monday night arrested three suspects in West Bengal's Malda district and recovered Rs. 2000 fake notes with a face value of 1 lakh rupees from their possessions, officials said.

According to reports, three youths- Abdul Rashid, Kashim Sheikh and Sahood Sheikh- were nabbed with fake Rs. 2000 notes worth 1,00,000 rupees from Mohanpur village under Baishnabnagar Police Station limits in Malda.

They were produced in a local court on Tuesday and were sent to police custody for further interrogation.

Earlier on Saturday late night, a middle-aged man, Mukulesh Mian, was held with fake 2000 rupees notes worth Rs. 92,000 from Rathbari area in Malda district.
