Arrested IAS officer Sudhir Kumar suspended in Bihar test paper leak scandal

India Blooms News Service | | 03 Mar 2017, 04:13 pm
Patna, March 3 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) chairman Sudhir Kumar, who was arrested along with his family members in connection with test paper leak scandal, was placed under suspension on Friday by the state government.

Local media said that a notification about his suspension was issued by the General Administration Department today.

The suspension of the officer comes amid repeated demands by the IAS Officers Association to release Kumar and order a CBI probe into the test paper leak scandal.

The Association representatives have met the Governor, the chief minister and the Bihar Assembly Speaker in support of their demand but failed to get a reprieve for the scam-tainted officer till date.

Kumar along with four other relatives was arrested last month from Hazaribag town in Jharkhand by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the question paper leak of a clerical exam.
