Militants target police post in South Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 25 (IBNS): Ahead of Republic Day, suspected militants fired at a police post in South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Wednesday evening, police said.

According to reports, militants targeted police picket at Gofabal in Kulgam with automatic weapons but fled after retaliation by the cops.

He said the cops returned the firing, forcing the militants to flee from the place.

No casualties were reported in the incident.
