4 bus passengers killed and 24 others injured in Assam road mishap

Guwahati, Nov 30 (IBNS) : At least least four passengers were killed and 24 others injured in a head on collision between a bus and an oil tanker in Assam's Golaghat district on Wednesday.

The mishap took place on the National Highway 37 near Rongamati at around 3-30 am.

The Golaghat district police said that the Tinsukia bound passenger bus from Guwahati had a head on collision with an oil loaded tanker coming from opposite direction.

In the incident the bus driver and three passengers of the bus were died on spot while 22 other passengers of the bus and two persons of the oil tanker injured.

The injured persons had rushed to nearest hospital and Jorhat Medical College Hospital.
