The Mexican delegation is headed by Ambassador Melba Pría and comprised by senior officers of the Ministries of External Affairs, Agriculture and Health.
It will highlight the importance of strengthening tobacco control policies with a focus on public health, placing people at the centre of the debate.
The WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control is the first international treaty in the field of health to be negotiated within the World Health Organization. It came into force in 2005 and currently has 180 members.
